Biochar, Goulash & the Future of Exchange
Church Hill Road, Exeter, Devon, EX4 9JL
You are warmly invited to a special Lana Labs Exeter Open Day at Goffin Land, just outside Exeter — for Lana members, friends, curious newcomers, local people, growers, makers, inventors, community builders, and anyone interested in a more beautiful way of living, exchanging, and growing together.
Lana is not only an idea. It is a living culture of conscious participation, local exchange, regeneration, responsibility, and shared abundance — and this event brings that spirit into a real-life experience.
Together we'll explore soil regeneration, biochar and local resilience, practical invention, community connection, regenerative food, conscious exchange, and how Lana supports suppliers, customers, and local value.
The day begins in the community garden with a live biochar workshop, continues with Hungarian goulash in Gray's Barn, moves into an afternoon Lana gathering upstairs, and finishes with music, dance, cakes, and joyful connection.
Come for the biochar. Come for the land. Come for the food.
Come for the conversation. Come for the music.
Come and experience Lana in real life.
Settle in at Goffin Land before the morning workshop begins.
Lana member Indrek will demonstrate his biochar-making machine — an invention he has spent four years developing — live in the community garden. Biochar helps turn organic material into something that gives back to the land, supporting soil life, fertility, and regeneration.
Gather in Gray's Barn for traditional Hungarian goulash, cooked by Istvan with beef purchased through Lana from a Lana-aligned regenerative farmer — real food, real farmers, real exchange, brought together over a shared meal. A vegan goulash made with chickpeas is also available. Tea and refreshments are available throughout the day.
A relaxed, open introduction to Lana for members and newcomers alike — no previous knowledge needed.
A relaxed and joyful ending to the day, with cakes and space to connect. Not a commercial party — a friendly community close to the day. If you stay for dancing, a contribution towards renting the place is kindly appreciated. Music finishes by 10:00pm.
Everyone pays the same price. Lana members receive 20% back in Lana after payment — not a deduction, but a return that circulates back into the Lana community.
Tea and refreshments are available throughout the day. If you stay for music and dancing, a contribution towards renting the place is kindly appreciated. Advance booking is recommended, especially if you'd like goulash, so we can prepare the right amount of food.
All prices are the same for everyone. Lana members receive 20% back in Lana after each purchase — to spend within the Lana community. A Lana retail point will be available on the day.
You can apply for membership on arrival. Once confirmed, your 20% Lana return starts from that moment — including purchases made on the day. You will leave with your Lana membership card and wallet ready to use.
Indrek has spent four years quietly developing something genuinely useful — a machine that turns organic material into biochar and gives back to the soil.
No company behind it. No investors. No marketing budget. Just one person, one idea, and years of work.
Lana exists precisely for moments like this.
When a community sees something good and chooses to back it — that is Lana working exactly as it was designed to. Not a bank. Not a crowdfunding platform. Just people who care, choosing to support something real.
On the day, you will see the machine working live in the community garden. If it speaks to you, you can place your order directly with Indrek.
Every order makes it possible for him to invest in materials and bring his invention into the world.
First machines are handmade to order and delivered within approximately 4 weeks. Speak to Indrek on the day to place your order.
Camping before and after the event day is possible — mainly suitable for people coming with campervans or suitable vehicles. This is not a large camping festival; it's a simple, respectful option for people travelling from further away.
Please let us know in advance if you'd like to stay overnight, so we can confirm space and practical arrangements.

Goffin Land is just outside Exeter and is the base of Lana Labs Exeter.
You do not need to understand Lana before coming. This event is a place to experience it, ask questions, and feel whether it speaks to you.
Lana helps people grow the future together through better everyday exchange. At its simplest, Lana supports a new relationship between suppliers, customers, and communities — where everyday sales can become acts of care, support, and shared return.
Lana invites value to circulate in a way that supports local people, good work, regenerative choices, conscious businesses, and a more abundant future for all. It is not only about finance — it's about participation, responsibility, trust, and the possibility of a more beautiful reality through the choices we already make every day.
Lana Labs Exeter is the local base for exploring Lana in real life — local exchange, regenerative food, sustainability, invention, community gatherings, education, time contribution, supplier and customer participation, conscious technology, and new ways of growing abundance together.
This Open Day is one of the first living examples of what Lana Labs Exeter can become.
"Come and experience Lana in real life.
A day of healthy soils, good food, real people, useful invention, music, and community.
A day to regenerate, relate, and reimagine together."
Advance booking is recommended, especially if you'd like Hungarian goulash, so we can prepare enough food. When booking, please let us know your name, how many people are coming, whether you're joining the whole day or part of it, whether you'd like goulash, whether you'd like to stay overnight, and any dietary needs.
